There’s nothing wrong with vanilla sex, but while regular throes of passion can be perfectly fulfilling, we don’t blame anyone for wanting to try something different every once in a while.

How to introduce kinks in the bedroom
Despite the survey uncovering that 64% of women and 74% have a rather kinky side, IllicitEncounter’s survey found that almost half (31% of women and 32% of men) actually hide these preferences from their partners.
Exploring kink with your partner can be an exciting experience and can even heighten intimacy, so how can we introduce it into our sex lives?
The best way to try new things in the bedroom is always to have an open and honest conversation with your partner. Lightly float the idea and tell them what it is that you want to try. This may seem like an intimidating conversation to have, but consent and boundary setting in the bedroom will ensure that both parties are willing and feeling safe.
If you’re lucky, these conversations could result in intense new sessions between the sheets, exploring new sensations and living out fantasies. On the other hand, maybe you realise that the kink you’ve been keen to embrace isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
What should you do if your partner isn't willing to explore kink?
Of course, you also have to be open to the possibility that your partner might say no. While that may not be a big deal to some, it seems that others tend to stray in order to seek that sexual fulfilment.
According to IllicitEncounter’s sex expert Jessica Leoni, explained that many people don’t embrace kink in their relationship, leading them to seek this kind of experience through cheating: ‘A lot of people start an affair because their regular partner will not indulge their kinky side.’
The beauty of online dating is that you can be upfront with people and let them know in advance that you would like to kink it up if you get together.
‘The issue lots of people in long-term relationships have is that their kinky side develops over time and they find that they eventually have different sexual needs that their regular partner can never satisfy. ‘
Of course, as IllicitEncounters is a site that benefits from infidelity, it’s best to take their advice with a grain of salt.
If kink is an important factor in your sex life, it may be a bit of a dealbreaker to learn that your partner doesn’t have the same desires. In this case, instead of cheating, we suggest it may be better to leave the relationship.
