Considered one of the great talents of European football, Mason Greenwood is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Accused of rape and domestic violence by his partner Harriet Robson, the Manchester United striker was arrested by British police on Sunday 30 January. In the aftermath, he saw his Red Devils teammates, led by Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo, drop him on social networks.
Greenwood dropped by Pogba, Ronaldo and teammates
A few hours after the allegations against Greenwood, Pogba and Ronaldo have indeed stopped following him on Instagram. And the Frenchman and the Portuguese are not the only ones. David De Gea, Edinson Cavani, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford have also unsubscribed from the Englishman's account. These simultaneous actions could be the result of a direct order from Manchester United.

Suspended by Manchester United
In a statement published on its website, the British club reacted to the accusations against its player by deciding to suspend him until further notice, as is the case for Benjamin Mendy at Manchester City:
We are aware of the images and allegations circulating on social media. We will make no further comment until the facts are established. Manchester United will not tolerate any form of violence. Mason Greenwood will not return to training and will not play any matches until further notice.
