The Japanese are trying something new, drinking only transparent liquids. In recent months this new trend has been all the rage and it is spreading fast! A detox using only mineral water immediately comes to mind, but this is not at all the case! Moreover, the Japanese drink very little mineral water.
The idea, which still has us very perplexed, is that the clearer the liquid, the more it seems refreshing and natural, and therefore healthy! But this new trend is also a good excuse (as if one really needed one) to drink alcohol while avoiding judgment.

This rather doubtful fad has already begun to be exported to Europe. In some places in the UK you can now order clear coffee, a transparent coffee that has the advantage of not staining your teeth.
So will we soon be seeing more of these clear beverages on our shelves?
