So how can these leaks be avoided? Producers have a trick that seems to be working quite well; even the actors don’t receive a paper version of the script! Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jamie Lannister, explains that “They’re very, very strict. It’s reached a crazy level this year. We actually get the scripts, and then when we’ve shot the scene – and we only have it digitally – and then when you’ve done the scene, it just vanishes. It’s like Mission Impossible. ‘This will self-destruct.’”

Another technique they’re using is filming multiple alternative endings and the actors themselves don’t know if they will be used or not, or which one is real or not. So if you want to know who’s going to die or who will sit on the iron throne, you’ll just have to be patient!
