Millennials Are Getting Laid More - But They’re Not Doing It As Well As The Previous Generation

Quantity or quality? This kind of dilemma also applies to sex! A recent study by a British sex toy brand shows that Generation Y women are having more sex than the previous generation, but are having way less orgasms!

‘Less but better’ is how sexual pleasure could be defined for women aged 50 and over, unlike young women in their twenties, for whom the credo would be ‘quantity prevails over quality.’

The British sex toy brand Lovehoney conducted a survey to mark Sexual Happiness Day on April 21st. They interviewed 2100 people between the ages of 18 and 70. The results? As women age, their sexual pleasure becomes more qualitative.

In this survey, they learned that 39% of young women aged 18 to 25 have sex at least twice a week. This is more than twice as much as for older women. But among them, only 36% manage to reach orgasm, while 63% of women over 45 reach it.

The respondents were asked to evaluate and record their sex. As a result, 16% of women aged 46 to 50 and 14% of 51-55-year-olds gave the grade of 10/10. Only 11% of women under 25 and 10% of 31-35-year-olds rated their sex 10/10.

Sexual fulfilment, therefore, seems to be a matter of age!
