After placing some hits from the outset, the Macedonian gained confidence but forgot that Phillips has a strong chin. The Welshman took the blows, then counter-attacked and hit his opponent hard twice to knock him out.

With this great victory, John Phillips may have saved his position at the UFC (he was on a three-game losing streak) and most importantly, won a £40,000 performance bonus for the evening. And above all, it pleased the Danish public!
