On Brazilian television, the king of football Pelé talked about the player who he considers to be his heir, Neymar. Although he is proud of the path he has traveled, he regrets not having taught him one of his most famous moves…
‘Neymar is a player who honours the number 10 for Brazil. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to teach him how to score with a header like Pelé. He was trained at Santos. If it was another player, I might not have been so happy, but he was in good hands.’
Although he seemed to be quite smitten with Kylian Mbappé throughout the World Cup and after, Pelé is nonetheless very attached to his Brazilian heir: Neymar. In an interview for Brazilian television, the greatest football legend expressed regret for not having taught him this move. He is proud of the path traveled by the Brazilian number 10, but he regrets not having taught him his famous header move. A ‘lack’ that however has not prevented the Paris Saint-Germain player from already scoring 65 goals for the Seleçao. When it came to Pelé, he accumulated 90 goals.
