Nobody asked for it, but McDonald’s has done it nonetheless! There most likely won’t be any crowds rushing to get their hands on this burger... For once, this limited edition McDonald's burger might be a major flop.
McDonald's China launched a new burger with some interesting ingredients on December 21st. What kind of burger is it? A ham and Oreo burger! And not just any kind of ham but SPAM, canned cooked pork. Sounds tasty, doesn’t it?
Originally, the name SPAM came from a contraction of ‘Spiced Ham’ before becoming a brand name in its own right which now markets other canned products as well. The story goes that, since SPAM had such a bad reputation, it gave its name to the infamous spam emails, those unwanted e-mails you receive in your inbox.
This new type of burger will be available in China as an ultra-limited series of only 400,000 units… While the SPAM brand joined forces with the American fast-food chain to create this new burger, this is not the case when it comes to Oreo, and we can understand why!
How about you, would you give this burger a try?
