Nowadays it’s possible to be both sporty and eco-friendly! Terra Hale fitness studios in London are offering a whole new concept of sport. Thanks to an initiative introduced by former professional snowboarder Michal Homola, gym-members can generate electricity whilst working up a sweat in the studio. Cardio machines have been fitted with a small device which produces the same effect as a dynamo and powers the studio with generated electricity. The gym is nearly 100% environmentally friendly. Most of the building materials, including the wood used to create the walls, are recycled. Air-filtering plants were also installed inside the materials. The only real drawback is the price. Per month it would cost you around £70 to take part in 4 group sessions, with complete access to the gym priced at £230. Being eco-friendly comes at a price.
