The End Of The World May Be Coming Even Sooner Than We Thought

The arrows on the clock of the Doomsday clock now read 23:58. When they reach midnight, it will mean that the end of the world has come. Take a look at the video above for the full details...

Like every year, atomic scientists gathered to determine the time of the "Doomsday clock", the clock of the Apocalypse. It currently reads 23:58, thirty seconds more than last year, around this time. When the clock strikes midnight, it will be too late: it will signify the potential end of Humanity. And don't laugh, all this is very serious.

But what's the purpose of this fictional clock, created in 1947? To alert us of the general state of planet Earth. To calculate the time, global warming, the proliferation of nuclear weapons, technological advances and cyberattacks are factored in.

Donald Trump and Kim-Jong Un's statements about a possible nuclear war have largely influenced the clock of the Apocalypse. We hadn't reached 23:58 since 1953. Back then, we were in the middle of the Cold War. Hopefully, we will never know a time when the "Doomsday clock" reads midnight.
