Oleksei Oleinik Pulls Off The Second Ever Ezekiel Choke In UFC History

In the early hours of Sunday 13th May, UFC 224 got underway. With a stacked card of UFC brilliance, on paper it promised to be a very entertaining vent; and it certainly lived up to expectations. Oleksei Oleinik a heavyweight, did something to his opponent that has only ever happened once before...

Fighting against Junior Albini during the prelims of UFC 224, the Russian was clearly not there to make friends. Known as “The Boa Constrictor”, he lived up to this name in the first round when he took down his opponent with an impressive choke that has only ever been done once before.

It is a very rare take down and he is the only person to perform it successfully in the entire history of UFC. After he performed it for the second time, Oleksei Oleinik was named the Master in the art of taking down his opponents. Since the beginning, he has earned incredible statistics with 56 wins, of which 44 were with take downs. And although the majority of these wins were not during UFC, he is still one of the most dangerous fighters on ground.
