Some of you may immediately think of the film featuring Dwayne Johnson but this bloodthirsty game is actually a sequel to the well-received Doom in 2016, a build upon the cult classic 1990's first-person shooter and will contain the same well-known character: 'Doom Slayer.'

The E3 demo of the fast-paced and violent game sported a pretty amazing review from Tech Insider with some of the most notable features being the heavy metal soundtrack and theimpressive combat material.

The soundtrack, created by Mick Gordon gives a cathartic atmosphere to the game while giving you 'that extra shot of adrenaline when you begin to feel frustrated with death.'

The gameplay itself received quite the praise with the demons approaching in just the right amount and attacking in a variety of ways, there will never be a dull moment here. The arenas in comparison are said to be a bit more intense with 'demons treating you like catnip.' The game even has six individual maps including portals and jump pads, that allow for a more intense demon hunt.

Even better the demons can also change their attack style, during the demo one of the reviewers shot a weapon out of the hands of a Mancubus and instead of it being rendered incapable of fighting, the monster started to pound the ground causing damage to all those who got too close.

The weapons are also said to be customisable and upgradable by finding crystals and completing encounters. This will allow players to have a little more fun with both any new and more classic style weapons. Doom Eternal will also allow the option for a centred view of the weapons, a style precedes the crosshair view where a mouse can be used to aim accurately for a hint of 90's nostalgia.

There's just over a month to wait but in the meantime, you can watch the game teaser above!
