Bye bye to breakfast bagels and wraps
After years upon years of satisfying people's morning cravings with these two savoury menu items, McDonald's came out with a statement announcing a new era in their breakfast offering. The statement read:
It is with love and deep respect for one another that we announce that we are parting ways with Breakfast Bagels and Breakfast Wraps.
And added:
Despite Speculation and following a trial separation period, Breakfast Bagels and Breakfast Wraps will not be returning to the menu. We adore each other deeply but our love for the iconic McMuffin was simply too hard to ignore.

Will a brand-new menu item be introduced?
The sudden decision has made waves on social media, with users questioning the real reason as to why these two, very much adored items, are being removed in the first place. The statement, which is injected with a high dose of sarcasm, also hints at the possibility of replacing the loss with a brand-new menu item. The rest of the statement read:
Thank you to everyone who has supported our union, As for the rumours that there will be a new breakfast bae on the scene later this year...no comment. But it's now time to say, 'that's a wrap. And a bagel.'
But though this might be the end for breakfast bagels and wraps, McDonald's has decided to offer their beloved McMuffin for only 99p. Perhaps, this comes as a strategic move to not receive too much hate from die hard fans? The new changes will be affecting the UK as of today.
