No more day two testing for the double jabbed
More specifically, this includes the day two lateral flow test that even those who are double jabbed must take upon entering the UK. Pm Boris Johnson announced:
You will see changes so that people arriving no longer have to take tests if they have been vaccinated, if they have been double vaccinated.
Before adding:
Thanks to the tough decisions–I think people will agree we got the big calls right–we are now moving through the Omicron wave. So what we’re doing on travel to show this country is open for business, people arriving no longer have to take tests if they’ve been double vaccinated.

'Stability for the sector throughout 2022'
The news comes after an official regression to Plan A took place last week, with masks and WFH requirements no longer in effect. Though the fully vaccinated will no longer have to take an antigen test, The Passenger Locator Form will remain mandatory for all travellers entering Britain. Transport secretary, Grant Shapps, said:
Making the right calls at the right time on vaccines and boosters means we now have one of the most open travel sectors in the world. Scaling back restrictions before half term means a simpler travel experience for passengers, especially the fully vaccinated, and stability for the sector throughout 2022.
The easing of travel restrictions should alleviate the pressure on airline companies, as they have been one of the industries the hardest hit since the beginning of the pandemic.
