Attention, Spider-Man fans! It's official: actor Jamie Foxx will once again be playing villain Electro in the upcoming Spider-Man movie.
According to our colleagues at the Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx will very likely be playing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's nextSpider-Man movie. Fans have been waiting impatiently to find out what's next since the last movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and this announcement might just make them a little antsier. The film is tentatively slated for release on December 17, 2021. While you wait for the film to be released, though, the Spider-Man: Miles Morales game, which is scheduled to come out on November 12th, will keep you busy.
A familiar role for Jamie Foxx
Marvel's going all in! Jamie Foxx is a very popular actor and a fortunate addition to the cast, which of course includes Tom Holland. And there's no doubt he'll make a great Electro, as he already played the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Jamie Foxx's inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe speaks volumes about Marvel's strategy. Many rumours point to a potential multiverse that would include all 3 actors who've played Spider-Man: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. This kind of news only adds fuel to the rumours and leaves room for all kinds of speculation. If you're a fan of Spider-Man, you can also take a look at Sony's three Spider-Man spin-offs.
