Saturdays star Frankie Bridge set to join I’m A Celeb

Frankie Bridge has reportedly signed up for I’m A Celeb 2021 - five years after her husband Wayne appeared on the show.

If the rumours are true, Frankie would be the second member of The Saturdays to appear on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. Her former bandmate Vanessa White appeared on the show in 2017 and finished in eighth place.

Who is Frankie Bridge?

Previously known as Frankie Sandford, the singer first rose to fame as a member of S Club Juniors. She later joined The Saturdays alongside S Club Juniors co-star Rochelle Humes and Mollie King, Una Healy and Vanessa White. She married Wayne Bridge in 2011 and they share two sons, Parker and Carter.

A source told The Sun:

Wayne really enjoyed his time in the Australian jungle, and Frankie is looking forward to giving the show a go too. She is pretty excited. She is nervous about leaving Wayne and the boys for such a long time, but she is determined to give the challenge her all and really throw herself in.

Ex-footballer Wayne appeared on I’m A Celeb back in 2016. He just missed out on a spot in the final as he finished fifth behind Sam Quek, Adam Thomas, Joel Dommett and Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt. Frankie flew Down Under to meet Wayne at the end of the bridge when he left the jungle.

But Wayne will have a bit of a shorter journey to meet Frankie as this year’s series is once again taking place in Wales’ Gwrych Castle. No doubt it will be a very different experience to being in the Australian jungle!

Who else is in the I’m A Celeb 2021 line-up?

So far, soap stars Adam Woodyatt (EastEnders’ Ian Beale) and Simon Gregson (Corrie’s Steve McDonald) are hotly tipped to be going into Gwrych Castle. Presenter Richard Madeley is also said to have signed a big-money deal to go on the show. Olympic diver Matty Lee and ex-Strictly judge Arlene Philips have also been tipped to appear.
