Ex-reality TV star who sold her own farts rushed to hospital

Stephanie Matto, the woman who made a living selling her own farts, was rushed to the hospital for heart attack symptoms caused by excess gas.

Former reality TV star, Stephanie Matto, who first came to prominence after appearing on 90 Day Fiancé, made a whopping $200,000 for selling her own farts online.

But the very profitable business venture gave the 31-year-old Connecticut native the scare of her life when she found herself experiencing heat-attack like symptoms for producing excess gas.

'I thought these were my final moments'

Matto explains feeling unwell after ingesting fart-inducing meals in preparation to sell jars containing her own flatulence to her many customers on the Internet. She said:

I thought I was having a stroke and that these were my final moments. I remember within one day I had about three protein shakes and a huge bowl of black bean soup.I could tell that something was not right that evening when I was lying in bed and I could feel a pressure in my stomach moving upward.

The woman found herself having a hard time breathing and even described feeling a 'pinching sensation' in her chest area, which prompted her to call a friend to drive her to the hospital. She further explained:

I ended up going to the hospital that evening. I didn't tell my doctors about the farting in the jar but I did tell them about my diet. It was made clear that what I was experiencing wasn't a stroke or heart attack but very intense gas pains.

And added:

I was advised to change my diet and to take a gas suppressant medication, which has effectively ended my business.

Her farts have divided the Internet

Though the businesswoman has received a lot of praise for being a 'girl boss' and taking charge of her own body and financial success, she has also experienced a fair share of hate online. She explains that:

I have been getting a ton of negativity. I have even received death threats, people telling me I should end my life, and so on. I try my best to not react to these people and give them what they want, which is attention.

And:

In this day and age, we need to stop tearing people down for their choices. Especially if their choices are literally hurting no one.
