Streaming platform Spotify is surely going to make a few changes to its algorithms after one man discovered how to abuse one of its flaws and make himself a millionaire. However, it wasn’t without an investment.
Most people are deterred by the miniscule payout artists receive for a play of one of their songs. However, one Bulgarian man saw it as an opportunity. After creating thousands of paid accounts, he set them all up to play two playlists he’s got containing hundreds of short songs that he created himself.
The results: over 2 million pounds in just a few months. Not bad at all for an investment of £12,000 a month.
