In a recent video, she reveals that she’s always been 'enamoured' by sharks. And the conservationist wants to 'help humans and sharks better coexist.' Cool, right?

Swimming with #Ohana #Family Today was a WIN for SHARKS in HAWAII 😍🦈🎉🦈🎉🦈🎉🦈 The bill to ban the purposeful killing of sharks and rays in Hawaii “HB808” has passed its first hearing!!! There is still a long ways to go and other committees that get to vote on it before it becomes law but Mahalo nui loa (THANK YOU SO MUCH) to all the thousands of people who wrote in and sent the email in support! The committee was surprised by the overwhelming support and happy to vote in favor. It means a lot to me because I care about them as family, my heart skips a beat when I see one I know, I’m elated and overjoyed to see they are still alive. It’s the incredible moments with individuals that fuels my passion and work to make a positive change for them. Its true that there are aspects of conservation where I’ve felt I lost my faith in humanity, that I felt sick and disgusted with people but when I talk with good people and see the wonderful things people volunteer their time and talents to do for the sake of other animals and nature, or when I talk with kids, it definitely gives me hope. I think I’m lucky to have an amazing group of seasters and a huge community of incredible, supportive, talented, and cool friends that get it and so I’ll keep trying for them, the sharks, dolphins, whales, turtles, ocean, nature, kids, and the cool people ;) . Thank you to the good people out there who donate a couple minutes every now and then for a greater cause, for those without a voice. Mahalo for your kokua. #Care #respect #Aloha. #malama 📸Photo by the incredible @camgrantphotography📸 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Of a couple of my ❤️’s Grandma Great White 🦈 + 1️⃣🦈 @juansharks Wetsuit conservation benefit by @xcelwetsuits Thank you @gopro for always being supportive and @cressi1946 @oneoceandiving @oneoceanresearch @oneoceanglobal @oneoceanhawaii @waterinspired @oneoceanconservation @oneoceandesigns @oneoceansharks @oneoceaneducation #helpsavesharks #savesharks #savetheocean #oneocean #ocean #hawaii #aloha #malamamanō #couplegoals #coupleshot #freedive #grateful #attitudeofgratitude #mahalo #thankyou #honor Dont forget to sign the petition for @sharkallies for Florida too 💙🦈💙❤️

The brave 33-year-old discusses an encounter she had with a white shark on June 15th, 2019. Did she find herself in a scary, life-threatening situation? No! It was the complete opposite. The marine biologist said:

'I waited quietly, patiently, observing as she swam up to our boat to use it as a scratching post. She was the gentlest white shark I’ve ever met. We spent the entire day with her until the sun went down.'

When most of us think about coming face-to-face with a white shark, we instantly think about awful, frightening things. But then there’s Ramsey! She finished her comment by saying:

'Life is more magical and beautiful than I ever could’ve dreamed.'

Overjoyed at all the positive attention sharks are getting right now. There will always be critics who have their own motives but it still makes me really happy because for the first time in my life more people than ever actually care about sharks 🥰….Now if only people would spend that time writing about shark finning or to shark fishermen or to politicians to help save them rather than spreading hate and trying to create drama then WOW just think of how many laws and minds we could change and sharks we could save if we worked together 😉😉 So grateful for this magical encounter and the opportunity to raise awareness for sharks on a global scale ❤️🙌🏽 The interviews addressing things like #SharkCulling in Australia or the #SharkFinBan law that needs to be passed in florida or very excited to say that because of all of this we got the bill to ban the purposeful killing of sharks and rays reintroduced into the house and senate in #hawaii So thrilled, happy, and grateful for sharks and all the people out there supporting shark and marine conservation and good research (not the kind of “research” that kills sharks)  Speak our against #SharkFishing Much #lava #love and such happy positive vibes :) #Grateful #biggerpicture #FocusOnSavingSharks #HelpSaveSharks #SaveSharks #SaveTheOcean #Aumakua #Malamamanō #Gratitude #Joy #Happy #Beautiful #Best #SharksInHawaii Watch my story for more unreleased footage and links to some incredible people Photo of a big beautiful white shark in #Hawaii and a rough toothed dolphin cruising together by my #JuanAndOnly @juansharks @oneoceandiving #notTouching 😉😘 ❤️🦈❤️ #sharksareamazing #oceanramsey

The fearless blonde beauty also points out that most of us are “blind by fear,” and we question why someone like Ramsey would want to 'protect a monster.'But she wants us to believe and see that sharks are friendly, too.

The video discusses how sharks aren’t mammals, so they aren’t 'in tune to drama.' Therefore, 'what you see is what you get.' Do you want to know how Ramsey researches and connects with sharks?
