350 locations are set to open in the UK in the next decade

After the success of their opening in Switzerland and Spain, the first ever Popeyes is set to open in London by the end of the year and 350 more branches will be fully operational in the next 10 years. The Louisiana style fried chicken eatery first opened in New Orleans in 1972 and have since welcomed customers in more than 3,000 locations worldwide.

Co-founder of Popeyes UK, Elias Diaz Sese said about the grand opening:

We are very pleased to launch Popeyes, a brand that has brought moments of celebration to guests globally, something we believe is important more now than ever. It allows us to contribute in hardship moments for the country by creating hundreds of career opportunities.

And added:

We truly aspire to become an employer of reference for big-hearted talent through care, service and supporting the neighbourhoods in which we operate.

Career opportunities that will support the economy

According to Popeyes, their ability to provide quality products that are locally sourced is what sets them apart from other fast food chains. They also pride themselves in employing cooks that are classically trained in the culinary arts to upkeep a standard of food unparalleled by competitors. The company says that:

Popeyes believes that the best food takes time, starting by marinating the chicken for 12 hours in bold Louisiana seasonings while using fresh and locally sourced chicken. All Popeyes chefs are classically trained and bring an uncompromising passion for food and a commitment to honour Louisiana food, flavours and traditions.

This also means that thousands of job opportunities will be available with the opening of their restaurants across the UK. Diaz Sese explains that:

It allows us to contribute in hardship moments for the country by creating hundreds of career opportunities. We truly aspire to become an employer of reference for big-hearted talent through care, service and supporting the neighbourhoods in which we operate.
