What can we look forward to?

1. Carpet Company’s Nike SB Dunk High Collab

Skateboard fans will be happy to know that Nike is planning a special sneaker release with Carpet Company for February year. Instagram account @hanzuying, famous for their sneaker leaks, has already given fans a sneak peek of what the collab has to offer.

Carpet Company, a skate brand founded back in 2015 is known for its DIY aesthetic and playful prints which are well represented in their Nike collection. The blue overlay shoe features some bleached tye-dye effects along with the company’s C starred logo on the flank of the heel. Arabic writing also features on the tongue tag, inner ankle and footbed of the shoe. Wrapping up the look is a Zoom Air cushioned midsole with a brown outsole.

Nike has yet to confirm the February date for their Carpet Company collab, but still, we can definitely look forward to seeing it early next year.

2. Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle Tour Yellow/Gorge Green

Nike fans will be stoked to know that this highly anticipated fashion weekSacai x Nike VaporWaffle actually hits shelves today (17th December)!

This sneaker is definitely one for the design-conscious and features a smart combination of Vapourfly and Pegasus technology. Nike classifies the collab as a ‘boundary pushing look’ with a ‘classic waffle outsole’ and we are definitely excited for it.

Sacai has really turned things up this season and their Nike collaboration is the perfect evidence. With a slightly skewed toe-tip, these shoes show a hefty split midsole which gives it a very aesthetically pleasing deconstructed look.

3. Undefeated x Nike Air Force 1s

Undefeated is one of Nike’s longest-standing collaborators. The LA store which opened in 2002 released their first collaboration with Nike, featuring white leather Dunk High with gum bottoms, with only 48 being made. These shoes never reached commercial stores and instead were only given to ‘friends and family’ of the brands. However, Nike brought back the white and gum colourway in 2014 for a retro release.

The Undefeated collaboration with Nike has yet to have any details leaked about it and the design of the shoe is still a mystery. However, we do know that the sneaker is set to launch in the fall/winter of 2021 so keep your eyes peeled.

4. Kim Jones' Nike Air Max 95

British designer Kim Jones is also set to collaborate with Nike again in 2021 with two styles set to be released. According to Instagram account @py_rates, Jones is working on two reiterations of the Air Max 95.

The Dior Men creative director has yet to leak any massive hints about his design but rumour as it that the sneaker is will come in the colours Black/Total Orange and Black/Volt.

Kim’s last collaboration with the brand was back in 2018 when he brought out the London punk-inspired ‘football reimagined’ collection featuring both footwear and apparel.

It’s now yet known exactly when in 2021 we can expect Jones’ next Nike drop, but more news will be emerging in the coming months.

5. Supreme SB Dunk Lows

Apparel hot shot Supreme is set to have a busy year with Nike in 2021 as not only is a Supreme x Air Jordan 1 collaboration supposedly in the works, but new rumours have it that Supreme is also going to be releasing a quartet of Nike SB Dunk Lows. According to Twitter account @soleheatonfeet, the sneaker release will be dropping early next year.

Another Instagram account, dedicated to sneaker releases, @yankeekicks, has already supplied fans with an in-depth look at the White/Metallic Gold/Mean Green colourway of the upcoming sneaker. The shoe also sports a reference to Supreme’s 2003 Nike Dunk Highs with the faux crocodile skin and the star motifs.

6. Blazer Low x MEDICOM TOY

If you can’t wait for 2021 before you add some new beasts to your collection then Medicom x Nike has you covered. This collaboration is dropping on the 26th of December for just $80 USD.

This collaboration has seen Medicom stretch the boundary between art, music sneakers and toys with a faux pony hair exterior featuring abstract designs on the footbed. The Japanese brand has stamped its design with a logo on the tongue as well as BE@RBRICK branding on the heel, alongside a contrast black feature on the heel tab.

This is not Medicom’s first collaboration with Nike either, true fans will have already noticed some similarities between this and Medicoom’s 2011 Air Force 1 Low collab which also featured faux pony hair and BE@RBRICK branding throughout.

Well, time to make some space in your closet and your wallet because 2021 is going to be a big year for Nike.
