What are the 10 countries?
According to the agency, Austria, Bosnia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania could be the countries that Brits could soon travel to quarantine-free.
The predictions come as the UK government prepares to unveil the newest additions to their safe travel list set to take place next Wednesday 4 August. Charles explains that:
Our analysis shows at least 10 countries will be added to the UK Government green list next week - of course it should be many more. But usual government caution will prevail.
Other countries that could soon benefit from British tourists include: Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Finland, Egypt, Estonia, French Polynesia, Jamaica, Japan, North Macedonia, Norway, Saudi Arabia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea and Sweden.
Travel rules for British expats
Meanwhile, ministers are also preparing to ease travel restrictions for British expats returning to the UK on summer holidays by formally recognising jabs administered oversees from 1 August.
Meaning that Britons currently living abroad who have received both doses of an approved vaccine will be able to come travel back to the UK, without needing to complete the mandatory 10-day isolation period. As it stands currently, the government will only be recognising NHS approved vaccines.
