Winter truly is coming.
This Monday the 15th of April, you were probably in an uncomfortable situation at the office. Firstly because it’s a Monday, and it takes double the effort to be at work than it does on other days. Secondly, because the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones had just released its first episode, and entirely avoiding spoilers on social media is impossible.
Be assured, if you still haven't seen it, this article will not reveal any of the events that took place in the first episode at Winterfell. We will just draw your attention to the Perito Moreno glacier in Argentinian Patagonia, which turns out to be an identical replica of the wall protecting the dead from the living in the Game of Thrones series. At a height of 70 metres, this fantastic ice wall extends over several hundred metres, and advances more than two metres a day.
This beauty of the natural world will not be endangered by the actions of White Walkers - but rather from mankind, in the form of global warming.
