In Summer 2019, Jude Bellingham became Birmingham City's youngest ever first-team player, making his senior debut at just 16 years old. Now, Manchester United has their sights on the teen football prodigy and has made a bid to acquire the player.
Since his debut, Bellingham has been in the sights of many major clubs including Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, however, Manchester United has made an outrageous bid in attempts to thwart the interest of rival teams.
According to The Sun, Man Utd. submitted a bid of £30 million in hopes of securing Bellingham's signature. It's been said that Birmingham is interested in the potential sale of their young player, however, part of any deal made is the stipulation that Bellingham will remain at St Andrew's for 18 months as a 'loan'.
Despite making the bid, the club still has to appeal to Jude as well as his family why Old Trafford would be the best place for him to be as his young career is just taking off. If he does decide to join he will be joining other new faces such as Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bassika and Daniel James whom the club acquired this past summer.
For now, Bellingham remains on scholar's wages, but with his 17th birthday approaching this spring, he is set to sign his first professional contract.
As recorded by Sky SportsJude he has made 25 appearances in the Championship for Birmingham and in that time as recorded above-average numbers for winning duels and making tackles.
With his 17th birthday less than half a year away it looks like this Birmingham teen will have a lot of tough decisions to make in regards to his future. One thing is for sure, we will keep an eye on him where ever he decides to call home.
