Finally an experiment that you CAN try at home! It's very simple, all you need to do is take some tongs and hold an egg over a simple flame. It's best to use a candle as they do in the video - using a lighter could be far too fiddly and you don't want to end up burning your fingers. The egg will turn black and once it does simply transfer it into a clear glass of water.
In a few minutes, the egg will become a beautiful silvery colour and you can surprise your family and friends with it.
