Some hidden agendas are truly hidden.

Surely everyone reading this has tried to look up Area 51 on Google Maps, just to be sorely disappointed when the results come up with very little detail. However, there are more places in the world, some very unexpected, that are masked from our online view such as:

The Pacific Northwest, USA.

This site is home to what some suspect is the HAARP or High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. Conspiracy theorists believe that HAARP works with the Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA under hidden agendas. There is suspected to be technology stored on this site that controls weather events such as droughts and tsunamis.

The Secret City, Russia

It is well known that in 1986, Russia closed off a number of towns and believes some town had populations of millions. This town is located on Siberian tundra and the website claims that it could be a town that was taken over by the government in the cold war. Others believe that this area could be a radar station or a missile interceptor. Russia has quite a complicated history.

However, on the recent 2020 version of google maps, the area just refuses to load but is known as Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, a federal subject of Russia.

The Volkel Air Base, Netherlands

There may be a good reason that this area is obscured from view in Google Maps. This area has been admitted to be home to 22 US nuclear bombs, stored in bunkers under the site. The information was supposedly given by former Netherlands Prime Minister, Ruud Lubbers. He told National Geographic:

"I would never have thought those silly things would still be there in 2013. I think they are an absolutely pointless part of a tradition in military thinking."

Valencia City, Philippines

Nobody knows why this city was blurred out. it could have been a glitch, but of course, conspiracy theorists have another idea. They think that the area could be home to the government's missile defence program.

Strangely enough, the 2020 version of google maps has obscured parts of the area as well. There may be some truth to the tales after all.
