It comes as no surprise that Ant and Dec will continue to host the show, because really, who could replace the inimitable duo?
The judging panel will consist of Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden all returning for the 15th series.
When will BGT 2022 air?
Though no official date has been released so far, going by previous years, the show should be airing some time in mid-April. In the past, the show aired on Saturday nights throughout the spring up until the semi-finals, in which a live episode will take place in the last week of May.
The auditions are currently being filmed at the London Palladium in West End and will end on 26 January.
BGT 2022 will continue to follow the same format as previous years. This means that three yeses are necessary for a contestant to move to the next round unless they are automatically sent through thanks to the golden buzzer, which will officially be returning this year.
The golden buzzer allows one of the judges—and also hosts Ant and Dec— to send an act through to the live shows without needed the approval of two other judges. Acting as a fifth judge will be the live audience, which will ultimately wield the greatest power as they get to choose the winner in the end.
The last winner of the series was comedy singer Jon Courtenay who walked away with a whopping £250,000 in cash prize. This year the winner will also have a spot on bill of this year's the Royal Variety Performance.
