Aldi clothing range

Whilst Aldi has sold bargain clothing before, this is the first time that they’re selling clothes that actually feature the Aldi name and logo loud and proud. Items in the Aldimania range - which goes on-sale online this Sunday - include socks for £1.49, a two-pack of boxers for £4.99, pyjamas for £12.99 and a hoodie for £14.99.

In classic Aldi style, the Aldimania brand name is somewhat reminiscent of Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania range whilst the tagline ‘Aldi’s Just Done It’ also sounds suspiciously familiar to Nike’s ‘Just Do It’. But will Aldi fashion be a hit? They’ve got at least one powerful influencer on board...

Aldi x Tommy Fury

Love Island star and pro boxer Tommy Fury revealed this week that he is partnering with the supermarket for the new clothing range. He shared a snap of himself posing in a grey hoodie emblazoned with the Aldi logo to his Instagram, captioning it:

Not @AldiUK pulling through with the fresh garms ?!! Dropping Sunday 25th… #AldiSpringSummer2021

The snap got mixed reviews from Tommy’s followers, who are more used to seeing him decked out in designer gear from Louis Vuitton and Gucci. One commented:

Roll on the Cuthbert the caterpillar garms.

While another said:

No one is gonna be walking round wearing a bloody Aldi hoodie are you mad.
