32 Foot Long 'Unidentified Sea Monster’ Discovered In The Philippines

What is this strange creature that was recently stranded in the Philippines? Unidentifiable, this ‘sea monster’ is just as intriguing as it is mysterious.

Earlier this year, strollers along the beach near Maasin, a town on Philippines' Leyte Island, were surprised to find a very strange form stranded on the sand.

A creature dead for several days

At over 32 feet long, this unidentified creature which had apparently been dead for several days floated on the surface of the water in a state of very advanced decomposition. ‘This is the first time I have seen such a creature,’ Nujnuj Capistrano, an island resident who photographed the scene, told the Sun. ‘One thing is certain, the creature was almost certainly dead when I saw it, I can not describe the smell but it was unbearable.’

Also intrigued by the imposing carcass, experts have not yet managed to agree amongst themselves as to which species this marine creature belongs. Only the scientist Julius Alpino risked saying that he thought it was a whale. But for the moment it remains a mystery.
