The proof with this lighthouse, located on Lake Michigan, next to the city of Chicago in the United States. Named the Saint-Joseph lighthouse, it goes through a spectacular metamorphosis once the cold weather comes.

A sublime sculpture
Thanks to the cold and the water that surrounds it, the Saint-Joseph lighthouse becomes a huge frozen sculpture, like a fairytale palace. It even reminds us of the ice palace in Disney’s Frozen!
A breathtaking image
Though we can recognise the beauty of this lighthouse in the middle of winter, we must admit, however, that it is much less useful than during the other seasons. Indeed, completely frozen as it is on the pictures, it cannot function normally... Fortunately, as the lake is also partly frozen, the St. Joseph lighthouse is used less often.
One thing is for sure, it could be on the list of the twenty most impressive lighthouses in the world!
