The absurd clip appears to show a US police officer running a check of the vehicle whilst the 8-legged beast is crawling across the road, before sneaking behind the unsuspecting man.

And the first thought that might have popped into your head is, "but surely if there's anywhere an anarchid so large would exist, it wouldn't be in the US - and something does look rather odd."
If that's what you thought, then you would be quite right in your assumption.
Indeed, it turns out that there is no man-sized spider crawling behind the officer, but it was just a regular-sized house spider who just happened to be caught in a very convenient place on the dashcam. The little guy was simply crawling across the windshield of the patrol car, resulting in perfect material for a halloween prank before their very own clerk.
The squad from the Fulshear Police Department posted the video on Facebook and captioned it "who needs halloween special effects?", which since then had been viewed more than 32, 000 times across social media. Although if you're not a fan of spiders - big or small - we would perhaps suggest passing on this one.
