An 8-year-old boy on a chairlift in a Canadian ski resort was saved by brave skiers. Amazing!
An incident at the Mount Grouse ski resort in Canada recently has proven just how dangerous chairlifts can be. On February 27, an 8-year-old child was hanging off of a chairlift, six metres high.
The only reason the boy didn't fall was thanks to the strength of his father's arms holding him up. Seeing this family in trouble, five skiers rushed to help them.
How? They asked the child to remove his skis before stretching a safety net found nearby, on the edge of the track, under the boy. They then convinced the boy to jump.
They caught him in the net and he is safe and sound. And although he had to go to the hospital shortly after this, he suffered no injury. Even so, we bet the poor boy will not be skiing again anytime soon...
