American Bryan Thornhill got a call informing him that his 10 year old son had been kicked off the bus for three days due to his bullying of other children. In response to this, the man decided he would use this opportunity to teach his son a lesson. Instead of driving the child to school in the morning, his son would instead run to school as he followed behind in his car.
Public humiliation
As if the run wasn’t enough, Thornhill also recorded his son’s run to school with his phone and share it on Facebook. In the clip that has been seen and shared by thousands already, his son is running carrying a large backpack under the rain. ‘Yesterday he was apparently a little rude for Michelle in the morning, so even though it's raining this morning he still gets to run', Thornhill says in the video.
Better off in the end
In the end, Thornhill claims that his unusual punishment has had positive effects. ‘He hasn't got in trouble at school this week, whereas last week he was absolutely out of his mind’, he says. ‘This right here is called parenting.’
