I'm A Celebrity: These campmates tried to smuggle contraband into camp

After being evacuated from the castle last weekend, several celebs attempted to smuggle luxury items with them on their return to the castle.

The impact of Storm Arwen in Wales this week saw the I’m A Celeb campmates evacuated from the castle for four days and returned to their quarantine locations—where they had access to warm running water and food other than rice and beans. When it was time to return to the castle, several of them tried to bring some luxuries back with them.

I’m A Celeb contraband

An insider source told The Sun:

Producers knew that the celebs would try and be a bit tricky on their way in so were well prepared for it. They checked everyone’s belongings, coats, pockets — even their socks. It was comical how much they found. Everything got confiscated and each of them was given a slap on the wrist and sent on their way.

Which celebs tried to smuggle luxury items into camp?

The worst offender was athlete Kadeena Cox—who apparently attempted to smuggle two apples, 11 Werther’s Originals, 11 Fruitellas, and an Oxo cube into camp. Meanwhile, Snoochie Shy tried to bring in Belvita biscuits and Danny Miller attempted to sneak in some Nescafé Gold Vanilla Latte sachets.

After previously getting his spices confiscated, Naughty Boy didn’t attempt to bring any more food into camp—although he did try to sneak a nail file in. Corrie star Simon Gregson was also particularly daring as he attempted to bring in three beef stock cubes, black pepper, and a tub of Vaseline.

The remaining celebs—Frankie Bridge, Matty Lee, Arlene Phillips, Louise Minchin, David Ginola and Adam Woodyatt—were either playing by the rules or much better at hiding their contraband, as nothing was found on them when they re-entered the camp.
