It’s official—Aaron Dingle is leaving Emmerdale. After thirteen years of playing the character, actor Danny Miller is moving on to something new and won’t be returning to the soap after his stint on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2021.

Danny Miller leaving Emmerdale
Danny revealed the shock news in a press conference earlier this week, saying:
I've actually left Emmerdale, unfortunately, and I've decided to start a new path in life. I've got my baby now and I'm getting married next year and it's felt like the right time to open a new chapter in my life - god, my nerves are going because I've not really told anybody! I'm very emotional about it, actually. It's been a massive part of my life and it's taught me lots of things. I've been wanting to spread my wings for a while and a show like this [I’m A Celeb] gives me the opportunity to see what else happens after it and kind of start a new life with my family and see what happens.
Danny Miller welcomed his first child—a son named Albert—with his fiancée Steph in October. Although he admitted that having his son made him reconsider going on I’m A Celeb so soon after the birth, but said the fee he’ll receive for the show will allow him to take a year off work afterwards to spend more time with him.

Danny first joined Emmerdale as Aaron in 2008, when he was just 17 years old. He took a break from the role in 2012 before returning two years later in 2014. He’s been at the centre of a number of hard-hitting storylines over the years and stacked up over 20 soap awards over the years including Best Actor at the Inside Soap Awards and Best Male Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards.
