Standing upside down

In the Taiwanese capital, Taipei, a house was built entirely upside down. This stunning building has three floors and a garage, just like any ordinary house.

Some technical constraints

On the other hand, for obvious practical reasons, all of the house's furniture is attached to the ceiling; and so is the car in the garage. This atypical construction cost $ 600,000, or about £ 475,000. A sizeable amount but the result is worth it!

For an exhibition

This building was not built by an individual to house their family. It was created for a very special occasion: the exhibition Upside Down Wonderland. It only took two months for it to be completed. For a 7 pound fee, people could visit the building.

At the same time, it is clearly the type of house that one could find in Asia, because there is a building in Singapore where the cars are parked inside the flats.
