The unidentified woman can be seen clutching at the bouncer's legs as she tries to stand up, before the guard says ‘off you go’ and gestures to the door. McDonald's has initiated an investigation into the event.

No nonsense policy

The security was employed by an outside business and has now been removed from duty. According to a spokeswoman, McDonald's has a zero-tolerance policy for violence or abuse. The girl kicks her leg up at the guard's shoulder before flopping back to the ground, as captured on video by one stunned bystander. The guard retaliates by repeatedly kicking her in the side while yelling ‘off you go!’ When she continues to refuse to stand, the guard leans down, grabs her by the leg, and drags her to the door. A spokesperson for McDonald’s confirmed:

We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to violence or abuse of any kind. The individual in question works for an external security company and will not be on duty at any of our restaurants while we carry out a full investigation into this incident.

Silent onlookers

As the customer kicks the guard to protect herself, she is hauled out of the establishment while bystanders turn a blind eye to the scene. Amazed onlookers assume that the woman is out cold. Reportedly, the police are aware of circulating video evidence from the time of the incident. North Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and information after a woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of assault. Officers say the woman was interviewed in connection with the crime and has been released pending further investigation. A source told The Sun:

Something needs to be publicly said about this 'security guard' in Maccies. Last night videos are going around of him sucker-punching a girl in McDonald's in front of people and then dragging her out with no one doing anything.
