COVID: Man gets vaccinated 10 times in one day for this dangerous reason

Authorities in New Zealand are currently investigating a man for getting ten vaccines in one day.

In order to get maximum protection against the coronavirus and all of its new variants, many health authorities are now saying that three doses are recommended for a healthy adult. However, one man in New Zealand decided three was not enough and ended up getting 10 vaccines in one day.

What makes the story even more concerning is that he didn’t do it to increase his chances of survival. In fact, multiple people had paid him to get inoculated in their stead.

Inaccurate vaccination status

Authorities are now investigating the case, but have yet to reveal details about which vaccination centres were affected. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 vaccine and immunisation programme group manager, Astrid Koornneef told Stuff:

We are taking this matter very seriously. We are very concerned about this situation and are working with the appropriate agencies.
If you know of someone who has had more vaccine doses than recommended they should seek clinical advice as soon as practicable.

When in conversation with New Zealand Herald, Koornneef said that the man’s actions have put the whole community at risk. She continued:

Having an inaccurate vaccination status not only puts you at risk, it puts your friends, whānau [extended family] and community at risk, and the healthcare teams that treat you now in the future.

No dangerous side effects

According to The Independent, the super-jabbed man is unlikely to experience any adverse reactions to the jabs. Helen Petousis-Harris, associate professor at the University of Auckland, said that the chances he will suffer from side effects like fever, headache, and pains, will most probably be heightened. She added:

We know that people have in error been given the whole five doses in a vial instead of it being diluted, we know that has happened overseas, and we know with other vaccines errors have occurred and there has been no long-term problem.
