If You Have an Android Phone, Never Set This Photo As the Wallpaper

A specific photo, although very basic at first glance, will make your Android phone crash if you set it as the wallpaper. Here is a demonstration and its explanation.

'Warning, never set this picture as wallpaper, especially Samsung mobile phone users! It will cause your phone to crash! Don't try it! If someone sends you this picture, please ignore it.' Twitter user Ice universe pointed out this bizarre but potentially fatal tech bug which concerns Android users.

This message is addressed to those who have an Android smartphone, and especially those who own a Samsung phone: if this is your case, never set this photo as your wallpaper. If you do, your smartphone will brick.

Despite the tweet above, some Internet users tried to set this photo as their phone's wallpaper. The result? A phone that is then out of service, as you can see in the video above. However, it is important to note that you can open this photo in your phone without it causing any problems. It is setting this photo as the wallpaper which causes the problem.

Why does this happen? This bug is said to be 'related to poor colour management on Android smartphones.'. A future update of the operating system could solve this problem. In the meantime, we strongly advise against trying to set this photo as your wallpaper.
