The shocking effect going three days without sleep has on your body

This woman, Chloe de Garis, decided she would prove to the world what happens to your body after running on just 4 hours of sleep every night.

Who doesn't enjoy a good night's sleep? It's without a doubt one of the most enjoyable sensations known to humans. It's also vital to your health and wellbeing (not to mention your physical appearance). But young Chloe De Garis decided to push the boundaries of sleep to see what it would do to her body and this is what she learned.

Her experiment

Aged 18, the young woman was decided to take up the challenge of only sleeping 4 hours a night for 3 consecutive nights. She then compared herself and her younger sister, Lucy, who slept nine hours a night. The results were night and day, as evidenced by the photos she shared online.

After 3 days of sleep deprivation, the young Brit wrote:

I woke up feeling terrible. I’m exhausted and, although I look a mess, I feel even worse. I can’t stop eating.I feel as though I need food to keep me going.
