This is one of the best videos of one of the great predators of the ocean in action: the great white shark.
The attack was recorded a few years ago, but the video didn't go viral until now. For those who feel sorry for the seal, here's a piece of information that'll dry your tears: it's fake.
In reality, the shark fell into the trap set by this team of researchers, who placed a camera capable of capturing super-fast movements next to the seal.
The violence with which the animal attacks the seal is incredible, especially because of its speed. Thanks to the camera you can see that the shark swims so fast that the surface tension of the water doesn't break until its entire head is out of the water.
It strikes so hard against the seal that it not only "eats" whole, it also manages to get its entire body out of the water and briefly twirl on itself.
The camera has such a good resolution that it allows us to analyse every detail of this impressive animal.
Will you be able to peacefully take a dip in the sea after seeing this footage?
