If you love your crispy bacon for breakfast all day every day - we recommend you read on with caution, because PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has launched another campaign which has been proven to be controversial amongst the meat-eaters. And this time, it's really quite personal.

The campaign, which has been originally launched back in 2016, has gotten attention once more and it's very much open for discussion. In the raunchy ad created by PETA, the 37-second clip shows a split screen clearly labeled 'meat eater' and 'vegan', as the two couples appear to be getting down to business.

However, while the 'meat eater' seems to be finished pretty quickly after a mediocre romping session, the 'vegan' appears to be giving his partner the time of their life whilst ravishing them with their sexual vitality. PETA's objective remains clear as it ends with the caption: 'Last longer. Go vegan.' Indeed, it is basically trying to say that all you steak-loving fellers out there aren't doing quite as well in the sack as your vegan counterparts. Oh, and you ought to be more like them.

The short clip that was has been re-released on Twitter, accompanied with the hashtag #SureSexIsGreatBut has regained its spotlight once more and, of course, caused an uproar both in support and against the claim that sex is better as a vegan. However, whilst it might seem rather outlandish, it's not totally nonesense.

Some research published by The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition seems to support PETA's claim that 'low-fat vegan meals tackle all the physical causes behind the vast majority of cases of impotence: high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancer or inflammation, and hormonal imbalances.' The study strongly suggests that men who practice regular exercise in combination with a fruit rich diet can reduce chance of erectile dysfunction by a staggering 20 percent.

PETA continues to stand strongly by their campaign. Speaking to the Telegraph, Mimi Bekhechi, one of PETA's directors, affirms: 'PETA want to send the message to men everywhere that meat and milk make you sleepy, not sexy, and that vegans are more virile.' However, it has also been noted that more widespread and longterm research needs to be conducted before we can deem this to be the case. It has been suggested that it's dubious that one single type of food or nutrient can have such a vast impact on male sexual performance.
