In the United States, this fourteen-year-old boy found a small pebble... which will allow him to become a millionaire.
In a regional park in southwestern Arkansas, Kalel Langford was walking around when he found a small pebble. It was actually a 7.44-carat diamond. Since the creation of the park in 1972, the 7th largest diamond has been found on its site.
While the regional park has not yet given an estimate of the value of the diamond found by Kalel, we know that the little boy is likely to receive a fairly large amount of money. In fact, in 2015, an 8.52-carat diamond was found in the same park. This diamond was apparently sold for a million dollars!
However, we're still a long way from Uncle Sam, the nickname given to the largest diamond ever discovered in the United States in 1924...40.23 carats!
