While the regional park has not yet given an estimate of the value of the diamond found by Kalel, we know that the little boy is likely to receive a fairly large amount of money. In fact, in 2015, an 8.52-carat diamond was found in the same park. This diamond was apparently sold for a million dollars!

However, we're still a long way from Uncle Sam, the nickname given to the largest diamond ever discovered in the United States in 1924...40.23 carats!
