A fight for the title?

A master on the ground, Charles Oliveira also confirmed that one must be wary of his strikes. Ranked 13th in the lightweight category, he commented on a potential matchup against the undisputed champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov:

‘I came here to fight, and now, I’m calling out some names. I want to fight on the last card of the year. I didn’t [take] any punches. I’m 100 percent. It can be Conor McGregor, (or) it could be Paul Felder. Everyone’s talking about Khabib. I’m better than him standing up. If it goes to the ground, I’m not going to be afraid of him.’

Confident about his chances of winning against the Russian, Charles Oliveira is not yet knocking at the door of a title shot. A rematch against Paul Felder, however, could allow him to get closer to it.
