It's certainly an original idea.
To discourage people from running down their corridors, the owners of this establishment had a brilliant idea. They created an optical illusion with slabs of tiles to make it appear that the floor was uneven.
The British company Casa Ceramica, who specialise in tile installation, took charge of these works. And the result is simply spectacular.
Using 400 ceramic tiles, an optical illusion was created on the ground to make visitors believe that it was all bumpy. But looks can be deceiving.
The floor is in fact perfectly straight and only the layout of this tiled checkerboard makes us believe otherwise. Weird, right?
