Only a few more months before April 14th, the broadcast date for the first episode of season 8 of Game of Thrones.
After announcing the official release date of Game of Thrones' final season, HBO has also announced the number of episodes that will comprise the season.
Episodes as long as a movie
On Tuesday January 22nd, at the ‘Showeb Séries’ event held at the GrandRex cinema in Paris, representatives finally revealed the duration of the six episodes in this new season. Many rumours had already been circulating claiming episodes would be an hour and a half long, maybe more. However we finally have the REAL info. The first two episodes will be 60 minutes long, while the next four will be 80 minutes. Fans will be able to see the families of Westeros tear, ally and kill each other for 440 minutes total.
Although we know that season 8 will be the end of Game of Thrones, fans can be reassured because many projects are in development. Indeed, a prequel is being developed and the cast has already been revealed. The Game of Thrones universe is large enough to create many stories around, which will definitely please fans.
See you on April 14th for the continuation and end of Game of Thrones.
