To support these figures, data from Critical Mention was used, which has counted no less than 10,627 references to the terms ‘Starbucks’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ through various media. A figure that leaves people speechless, especially since the brand did not pay a penny for this ‘advertising campaign.’

A not so ‘Starbucks’ cup

The true impact of this advertising is nevertheless difficult to quantify precisely. Even more so when it was discovered that the famous cup in question was not even a cup from Starbucks. Daenerys' latte in fact came from an artisanal brand that supplied the crew throughout the shooting.
