Apple isn't done innovating! The tech company based in Cupertino, California has just released wireless headphones and they are so sleek looking, we bet everybody will be treating themselves to a pair this Christmas. But before you get too excited, you might want to take look at the hefty price tag, which is sure to discourage some from grabbing one off the (virtual) shelves this end of year. Retailing at £549, they're more expensive than the latest iPhone SE. Ouch.

What's in the technology?

The new earphones, named AirPods Max, took all the good technology from the AirPods: high-fidelity audio, active noise cancellation with transparency mode, spatial audio for cinema-like sound. All in all, a state of the art product that comes in 5 colours:white, black, blue, red and green. You can enjoy up to 20 hours of music and then recharge them for 2 hours before continuing your experience. They require an Apple device running iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3 or MacOS 11 Big Sur or later.

Online reviews

Internet users have mixed reviews. Some say acquiring the new AirPods Max is purely a status thing, while others say the listening experience is definitely worth the hype and ultimately, the price tag. Some are super into the futuristic design of the headphones while others think it looks like... well, a beetle.

Mostly though, internet users are having a good laugh at the case sold with the headphones, which is making people's imagination run wild. An image speaks louder than words, so we leave you with this amazing Tweet.

The headphones are available in the UK since 15 December. Watch the video above to see more of the AirPods Max.
