A statistical war. In the debate that has been ongoing on social networks for many years - who of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is the best player in the world? - fans have been throwing stats in favour of one or the other at each other, to "scientifically" prove his superiority. An absurd and unresolvable debate, which, of course, piqued the University of Leuven's interest.
Researchers from the university used a "supercomputer" to compile as many statistics as possible about both players. Shots, passes, dribbles, tackles... Based on data from hundreds of games, the supercomputer was able to name the best player on the planet.
Hold on tight, the results are final - check out the video above to see which player is officially the best according to this scientific evidence!
