Minecraft is a clean slate where all our dreams can become reality. Determined players have spent more than 9 years on the same server with one common goal: completely recreating Middle Earth just as it was imagined by Tolkien in The Lord of the Rings. And the result is amazing.
When you visit the Minecraft server Middle Earth, you will be amazed, either by how closely it resembles the actual locations or the amount of work that has been put in to achieve something of this magnitude. Every place mentioned in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit has been recreated perfectly!
You can explore the Hobbit houses in the Shire, visit the infinite tunnels in the mines of Moria, climb the steps to the citadel of Minas Tirith and even set foot in the elven citadel. Some places on this Minecraft map don’t look the same as they do in the films made by Peter Jackson and the creators but were instead inspired by Tolkien’s books and drawings to recreate them as closely as possible.
And the icing on the cake: there are footprints tracing out the path taken by the Fellowship on their way to destroy the one ring. Wow!
